Bowling
skipwmeadventures:
Dang it. I woke up at 4. First thought: I really want to go bowling. I just want to bowl, eat a hot dog, listen to music and walk around Denver. And I want to do all of that with someone who wants to do all of that too. Maybe be a little silly. Where is Jen Burkey when you need her? sigh.
I’m here! Here in Austin, wishing you were here!
I would throw my bowling ball...

What 20-Somethings Want →
You want to know that you’re not insane, that there are other 24-year-olds have never been in a relationship before, or that other people have gotten too drunk and vomited on their taxi driver before and it’s all okay because this is growing up. Or something. You’re not actually sure. You never received an official manual but you figure that this is what it’s all about — feeling alienated and...

12 for 2012
Since finalizing my Top 10 of 2011 at the beginning of the month, I’ve been reading a lot of “Artists to Watch in 2012”, throwing their tracks in Spotify, and deciding who I’m most excited about this year. It’s just a sampling of my Spotify 2012 Listening playlist but it’s a nice mix of artists to pay attention to this year who aren’t Lana Del Rey....
I just sat and wrote a letter to a friend, like with real paper and a pencil or two (I like sharp pencils) and it was strange how quickly my hand grew fatigued. From the ages 12-18, I wrote constantly, pages upon pages. I filled spirals and binders and organized bad poetry in folders on a fairly routine basis. There is a Converse box in my room back home full of letters that were handed off in the...
Ingrid Michaelson - Human Again
Stream Ingrid Michaelson’s new album, Human Again on AOL Music here.
And, if you like it, go buy it somewhere because she seems like the kind of nice musician that will make you feel good about not illegally downloading their music.

The full episode of Austin City Limits featuring The Head and the Heart and Gomez.
You can’t really see me but I was literally right behind the front cameras for The Head and the Heart taping. This taping only captures a fraction of how incredible the show was.
If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, skip to 22:00 for Rivers and Roads. Man, when Charity belts out at 25:14, I...

i fell in love with her courage, her sincerity, and her flaming self respect. and it’s these things i’d believe in, even if the whole world indulged in wild suspicions that she wasn’t all she should be. i love her and it is the beginning of everything.

I work with really nice people
I left work early today due to an awful, no good, very bad thing that crept into my sinus cavities sometime last night and gained strength throughout the day. After sending my generic working-from-home email and heading home, I received emails from multiple coworkers wishing me well followed by a couple of tweets.
My coworkers are awesome. And so is taking sinus medicine and working in jammies...

New Year's Resolutions
Photo taken by Stuart Lovinggood during a New Year’s Day adventure through the Austin Greenbelt with him and Sam
I realize I’m a little late to the New Year’s resolutions game, but I wanted to share mine in hopes that seeing them typed out in front of me may help me commit to them a bit more, especially since the first one is solely about accountability.
I’m not really a...
