The week between Christmas and New Year’s is strange. As if awaiting the new year is more than just a passing of days.
2012 is going to be a phenomenal year, though. I’ll completely done with school (forever?) and will continue adjusting to the “real world”. Hopefully, I’ll gain a better idea of where my life path/career path will be heading in the next few years. I know I want to get out of Texas but perhaps, I’ll figure where to next.
And, on March 2, I’m turning 25. While many of my friends have been dismayed about their quarter of a century markers, I actually can’t wait. 25 is just a great number. It’s a square number, an automorphic number, the number of players on a regular season MLB roster, and the number of days it takes for the sun to do a rotation of itself. So, I’m pretty certain 25 is gonna be an awesome year, kicked off with an awesome celebration. Preliminary concepting for my birthday began a month or two ago and is going to get more serious when the new year begins. My birthdays have a reputation for being somewhat epic for both myself and all attending guests, which is good because my recollection of them is somewhat hazy for certain years (22, 23). I have a feeling this will be one of the more memorable ones, if I can stay focused and get everything organized for it.
So, 2012, let’s party, especially if the world’s coming to an end and whatnot.
